Here’s how we can help you get pregnant
There are many causes of infertility, and the treatment can vary from patient to patient depending on his or her individual circumstances. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is used in cases where male infertility or problems with ovulation are an issue. Considered to be more of a “low-tech” option, the process of IUI involves placing a concentrated sperm sample into the uterus using a transfer catheter. This procedure can be done in conjunction with fertility medication for patients who experience irregular ovulation, but is closely monitored to reduce the number of multiple births.
At Red Rock Fertility, the success rate of IUI is between 10-20% and depends upon the woman’s age and the sperm’s quality. The treatment team will recommend In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) for couples who do not experience success in conceiving after 2-3 attempts with IUI. IVF has a higher success rate, but is more expensive due to the cost of using more specialized equipment. The process of IVF involves removing mature eggs and fertilizing them outside the woman’s body. After fertilization, the embryos are transferred to the uterus. At Red Rock Fertility 90% of retrieved eggs will fertilize successfully with a 20-80% chance of pregnancy.
