If the possibility that you may be infertile is becoming a concern, you should schedule an appointment with a fertility specialist so that you can explore the different treatment options that are available. Use a calculator to see if if you need a fertility clinic
The key to becoming pregnant is knowing when you are ovulating because this is the period of time each month that a woman can conceive. In general, ovulation occurs 12 to 16 days before your period begins.
You can use an “ovulation calculator” to determine when you are ovulating so that you can chart your cycle on a calendar to determine your fertile period each month. To do this you need to know the first day of your last menstrual period and the length of your menstrual cycle which starts on the first day of you period and ends with the first day of your next period. Typically, this is about 28-30 days. Once you determine the length of your cycle, subtract 14 days from the predicted end of your cycle to determine when you ovulate.
It’s more than just fertility drugs
There is a wide variety of treatment options available to meet your specific needs. The simplest treatment is using fertility medications to stimulate and induce ovulation. This treatment can be combined with Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) to increase the chance of a successful pregnancy. But, for some, treatment may involve the use of more advanced therapies such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) combined with other Assisted Reproductive Therapy (ART). Call Red Rock Fertility Center and schedule a consultation to explore your all for your fertility treatment options.
