With every New Year, there is the usual new year’s resolutions, like losing weight, becoming a better person, etc.  Since the world did not end like the Mayan Calendar stated, I figure we all have a new second chance at life.  We should use this chance to step back and take a look at our lives.  What are we doing every day?  Are we truly enjoying the life we have been given? Are we genuinely happy inside.  Think about what makes you happy!  Happiness is when the heart smiles.  Try to find something that makes you genuinely happy each day, even if it is for 15 seconds.  If its looking at a nice scenic picture on your computer.  If its looking at a picture of your family.  If its thinking about where you would like to go on vacation.  Try to take a 15 second happiness break once a day.  This is the best thing that you can do! It will lower your stress levels, and cause you to be thankful for the life that you have been given.  This will allow you to make room in your life for other new lives, (Babies)!!   Life should be a balance between hard work and pleasure, and it is this balance that should generate a center of happiness within.  I get truly happy every time I look at our new success rates!!  I also get truly happy when I look at my little baby and she smiles back at me.  Lastly, every time I opened a card from one of my patients with pictures of all the beautiful children that I helped to get here, I tell you, that is true happiness.  Thanks for all the Holiday/Christmas cards, keep them coming, it really helps keep that sense of balance in our lives.
